As the bus comes near, the bullys await
But all he can think about is the tiger in the crate.
He gets on the bus and it comes to a stop.
A new little girl comes on with a hop.
The bullys go to her, after the boy
They treat the girl like a little happy meal toy.
That new girl was in Rob's class
She glares at him, while he's being harassed.
Someone tripped Rob and he made a splat
Rob doesn't like that mean little brat.
Almost gets in a fight saving little Sistine
But then he has to run from some kids being mean.
They get on the bus and she looks at his legs
Let me catch it, she demandingly begs.
He dreams about the tiger, the one in the cage
The dream turns out to be a confusing outrage.
Poem BY Paris Atwater:
This book is called the tiger rising,
this book is also really surprising
the main characters are Rob and Sistine
when she got on the bus, the kids were being mean
Rob saw the tiger in his cage
the tigers face was filled with rage
when she came over his place it was not the best
it was not better than the rest
His father gave him macoroni to eat
they didn't have shoes they had bare feet
As the bus comes near, the bullys await
But all he can think about is the tiger in the crate.
He gets on the bus and it comes to a stop.
A new little girl comes on with a hop.
